Dear Alberto and Sergio: I have put together a blog. Warts and all. We had an incredible time. Travelling the way we did was exhausting at times, and there were some lessons to be learnt. We forget, as westerners, what we are exposed to. Our expectations. Our prolific lifestyles. It was a privilege to live with Cubans, and hope they enjoyed our company as well. This is the first entry of the blog. If you go to the blog archive on the right you will find another 17 entries. Extensive, I know. I hope you enjoy it. http://smokeringsincuba.blogspot.com/2013/10/smoke-rings-in-cuba-journey-filled-with.html We were especially proud to be the only South African groupies/ entry at the Cuba Marathon, and thank you Sergio for pulling this together for Llyris!! We shall not hesitate to recommend your service to anyone who wants to travel to Cuba! Kind regards

We travelled from South Africa to Cuba in February 2009, our travel arrangements put together by Cuban Journeys based in Havana encompassing the best that Cuba has to offer. From the start Alberto and his team put together an awesome itinerary and everything worked smoothly throughout. Our guide, Gustavo Lugustamar, was excellent and saw to our every need. Cuban Journeys always went the extra mile and it was a pleasure to deal with them. Everybody on the tour thoroughly enjoyed their trip. Thanks to Cuban Journeys for their attention to detail and friendly, professional and efficient service. Wishing the Cuban Journeys team everything of the best for the future, and we hope to visit Cuba again soon. We will definitely use Cuban Journeys for our tour arrangements. All the best |
The Bridge For Historic Preservation obtained the license from the USA Foreign Assets Commission. This office allowed me to conduct education programs to Cuba. The Bridge arranged a 10 day ground tour of significant cities of historic treasures in, Havana, Cienfuegos, Trinidad, and Varadero. The Cubanjourneys program successfully transported a group of 17 students and faculty from the Savanna College of Art and Design to Cuba’s historic past. This group of students and faculty met with leading Cuban officials responsible for the restoration, and preservation of sites designated by UNESCO as “historic sites” . Juan Romagosa, President |
