Cuba is officially a non religious country. But, according to the cultural diversity of the country, several religions are practiced. There are many Catholics with a large amount of churches countrywide. They have a Cardinal and Pope John Paul has visited the Island in 1998. There are also other Christian sectors like the Anglicans, Baptists, Methodists, Adventists and Presbyterians.
Afrocuban ceremony
Many Cubans practice different cults from an African origin, like Santerķa, which has its roots on the times of slavery. At the same time a small Jewish community has remained and preserved its traditions, including the religious ones. Churches and temples are open in order for anybody to enter at any time.
