What you´ll know

Cuban History, Achitecture, Art , religious diversity , traditions as cigar manufacturing, nature and landscapes, among others, are the most important issues related to these tours.

Cuba was the last Spanish Colonial enclave in America and is the largest island of the Caribbean Sea. Due to its location as a crossroad between the Old and New Worlds, it is a true melting pot where different influences have intermingled for centuries. Though the Pre Columbian population was soon exterminated by the Spaniards, some remnants of their culture has been retained on recipes, names of places like Havana, for instance, and archaeological findings.

But the basic components of Cuban culture are Spanish and African that can be easily appreciated on most inhabitants´ color and idiosyncrasy, on music and dance as well as on Visual Arts. A quite interesting contribution was made, basically on the East Region, by French immigrants since the 18th century and by the many Chinese brought to replace African slaves in the 19th. There is even a small Jewish Community, mainly settled before or during the Second World War.
And, despite the well known controversies, there is also an American legacy, as a result of a close geographical vicinity and historic relations in the past. Playing baseball and jazz, in example, have been for long an important part of local life.

Nowhere in the World you would be able to find such an amazing amount of American cars from the 30´s, 40´s, and even from times before, so well preserved and working as a real mobile museum.

Most cities might have suffered a tough deterioration but still, it is charming to enjoy the special mood on their Colonial streets and squares, to walk or drive on Republican promenades and Modern sectors, where a refined architecture is incredibly abundant.

Temperature will be generally pleasant. Winter time is mild and eventually warm though it can get hot, but still acceptable. In July and August, if you are not protected by some shade, it can be really hot.

In addition, you will find Cuban people, all along any of these tours, friendly and welcoming, hilarious and plenty of music and dance.
