The Architectural Tour of Cuba.
Architecture in Deep.
A Tour designed for professionals involved in Architecture and Heritage conservation.

This architecture-related program takes you deep into the Cuban architectural heritage , its rescue process and the tendencies and styles that have prevailed  in constructions made all along the Island during the past five centuries until the present. Visits to the must representative places like cities of Havana, Trinidad and Cienfuegos are included in this tour.

An exchange with members of the Cuban College of Architects will take place the first day, as an introduction to the work undertaken by Cuban professionals in this field. Included in the program are: lectures on Cuban architecture given by local experts, visits to colonial fortresses assaulted by the British armies in 1762,  walking guided tours through the Old Havana's Squares, Churches, streets and palaces and the Cristóbal Colón Cemetery (outstanding sculptural funerary art ). The Republican and Modern Havana  , with amazing buildings and promenades based on French and American styles from the beginning and mid 1950’s respectively, would be also appreciated. Baroque, Neo Gothic, eclectic, modern and other styles converging in this marvelous city will allow participants to discover this unique phenomena within the Caribbean. 
To better understand the city’s development throughout the times, a visit to The Havana's City Model has been included. There,  participants can have a panoramic scale view of urban development.  
One full day for each area, Old and modern Havana, are set apart for participants to be able to go deeply into the features of Cuban architecture.

In  Cienfuegos city  you will  visit the French style historic areas, where  neoclassic buildings give a special touch to this urban settlement founded by French immigrants.
In Trinidad, a real jewel of colonial architecture whose centre seems to be untouched by time,  the group will appreciate  a colonial architecture dating from centuries ago. Near this village, which is among the first  founded by the Spaniards after discovering and conquering Cuba,  there is a place full of history: the Valle de los Ingenios (Sugar Mill's Valley). Our clients will visit this valley to see the ruins of what used to be sugar factories and slaves barracks, and will enjoy lunch in a typical restaurant built over an old construction, La Torre de Iaznaga.
At the very end of the tour program, we have included some visits to Parque Lenin, National Botanical Garden, Natural Science Museum, where you can meet the master pieces of recent architectural works post-1959.
 Accommodations are programmed in the best 5 or 4-star hotels in each city.
